Sealed bids for the Rocky Ridge Road Sidewalk Improvements for the City of Vestavia Hills, Alabama will be received until 10:00 AM local time on February 22, 2023 at the office of the City Clerk in Vestavia Hills City Hall located at 1032 Montgomery Highway, Vestavia Hills, Alabama 35216 and at said time, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Executive Conference Room, 1st floor, Vestavia Hills City Hall.
The project consists generally of: the construction of a new sidewalk from approximately 345’ north of the intersection of Rocky Ridge Road and Morgan Drive to the approximately 100’ north of the intersection of Rocky Ridge Road and Dolly Ridge Road, pedestrian signal installation and associated work, installation of retaining walls, installation of storm structures and pipe, and project signage and striping.
The Contract Documents and Plans may be examined at the Office of the City Clerk, City of Vestavia Hills City Hall and at the office of Engineering Design Group, LLC at 120 Bishop Circle, Pelham, Alabama. Bid documents including full size hard-copy plans and specifications may be purchased from Engineering Design Group for a non-refundable fee of $100.00. Digital (PDF) copies of the plans and bid documents may be obtained at no charge from Engineering Design Group-205-403-9158. All questions must be submitted in writing no later than 10:00 AM local time on February 20, 2023. Responses to question will be distributed to all plan holders in the form of a project addendum.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on February 15, 2023 at 10:00 AM local time in the Executive Conference Room at the Vestavia Hills City Hall. All those submitting bids are encouraged to attend.
All bidders are required to provide certification of compliance with the E-Verify program per Alabama Act 2012-491.
